Community Tasting Notes 5

February 1, 2023 - Prior bottle was nearly 11 months ago and my notes were quite similar. Apple and pear along with lemon and mineral notes on the nose. Between light and medium bodied with white pear and white apple upfront. Opens up well through the mid-body with more expressive white apple, a touch of soft, white peach and white tropical highlights behind. Lemon and other citrus notes along with acidity provide the backbone and contrast. Drinking well now, but has the acidity to hold this level and perhaps continue to show additional, positive evolution over the next 18+ months.

November 2, 2022 - Apricot and apple on the nose. In the mouth lime on entry. Bright, round acidity lifts into a medium body. Dry citrus sings through this with a sprinkle of salt in a fairly long finish. Although the notes are fairly linear, there is a richness hiding behind the acidity that begs you to try again, inviting another sip.

March 22, 2022 - Prior bottle was just over a year ago and this wine continues to show quite well. White apple and pear on the nose with a streak of lemon and mineral qualities. Between light and medium bodied with light tart white pear at first, evolving into more rounded and slightly deeper white apple. Softer and slightly richer tropical notes continue to provide a good counterpoint through the mid-body. These notes work especially well with lemon, other citrus notes and acidity on the backside. The 2019 doesn't have quite the depth or complexity of the 2017, but it's quite well balanced with good fruit and an exciting overall profile. Drinking well now and should continue to evolve positively over the next few years. I'll plan to hold my next bottle until early 2023, but may open sooner if the opportunity arises.

March 19, 2021 - Previously tasted at the winery four months ago, this was my first from bottle. Lemon, pear, apple and mineral notes on the nose. Close to medium bodied (11.4% ABV) with white pear, evolving to white apple upfront. Good depth through the middle, shifting to mostly white apple and then the more rounded tropical qualities towards the back. Really good acidity and tartness, especially on the backside provides contrast to the more open mid-body fruit. Lemon, acidity and mineral notes on the finish which shows good length. This wine has room to grow and evolve and as the mid-body opens up, should show additional complexity and balance in future years. Next bottle for me will be first half of 2022.

November 21, 2020 - Tasted at the winery. Lemon, apple, pear and mineral notes on the nose. Close to medium body with better overall depth than in prior vintages. Shows a blend of white apple and white pear notes, combining brightness with depth. Starts to shows some softer white orchard fruit notes and even some light tropical qualities towards the back of the mid-body. Transition to the finish is nicely rounded and then shows acidity and mineral qualities. I'll plan to open my first from bottle perhaps as soon as Q1 2021 to confirm these notes as it may be worthwhile to pick up a few more bottles.
