April 13, 2024 - Full of fruit, long on the palate, medium to full bodied, low tannins. This is a very good wine that can accompany any meal or, as I am doing now, enjoyed in a relaxing evening! I will definitely get more!

February 17, 2023 - At under $15 a bottle, it is nice to see that this wine does have some Gigondas character! On opening this needs 30 minutes or so to open up (astringent when just opened), but once out it carries a nice medium body with typicity for the region, albeit a bit thin in the middle. Tannins are in the background but not yet too soft. A slight bit of stewed character has crept in but not enough to make it taste overcooked as many Gigondas do when they're too old. Pretty good now and I think it will hold or slightly improve over the next 2 years before falling off. Kept at 55F since purchase a couple years ago. Good QPR.

I had half of the bottle. Drunk over one night with prime rib which was a nice pairing.

June 16, 2022 - Color was maroon, legs were in moderate abundance, and the nose was musty straw combined with stewed prunes.
The palate had those prunes plus chocolate and loamy soil, the finish was softly velvet and somewhat bitter.
While I still enjoyed this wine, it felt muted and rumpled.

I must say, it was a bit over the hill unfortunately, perhaps due to heat stress.

December 28, 2021 - Raspberry and tart cherry aromas. I taste tart cherry that mellows in the mid-palate with some mineral notes. It's quite nice with food, not as great by itself. It feels a little unbalanced, maybe a bit too too much alcohol.
