    January 19, 2023 - I wanted to try something a bit different, so I experimented with an Achaval-Ferrer Cabernet Sauvignon. My wine sat in the decanter for three hours before I poured it into a Burgundy glass. The nose smelled of Menthol and Cassis. The wine itself was not very assertive, nor very interesting. I sipped it over a three night period and I did not sense much improvement. I can definitely find better Cab's in this price range.

    September 15, 2022 - Scented with herbs and berries, full bodied with high acid, full throttled and slightly austere, deep flavors of plum, blackberry, spice and cocoa powder, youthful, powerful, nice with a cheeseburger, nicely intense
