  March 24, 2024 - Disgorgement 04/2023. In vintage 2015 this is not labeled as Grand Cru, maybe because the Grand Cru vineyards fared not quite as good in this hot year (at Diebolt-Vallois I was told that they opted to make their millésime in 2015 from their premier cru holdings for this reason).
  We had this side by side with a Diebolt-Vallois Cuvée prestige (base vintages 2019 and 2018) which overall felt younger with its emphasis on fresh fruit and chalk, while this Alfred Gratien felt more baroque with stronger autolytic notes of sweet pastry and lees and more dosage on the finish. In contrast to the Diebolt-Vallois the Gratien benefitted notably from aeration and became really quite flavourful. When I would want to nitpick this was slightly less refined and maybe not quite as mineral. While these are different expressions of blanc de blancs they represent similar quality and very good value.

  March 7, 2024 - NATO-bubbel – hann inte få fram den planerade Winston Churchill ’08 i tid, men fick med mig denna i farten.
  Klassisk blanc de blancs med fin syra, mineralitet och fräschör. Gula äpplen, brioche och citrus. Något tunn men helt ok längd. Lätt vaxig doft.

  December 23, 2023 - Nose: nuanced and complex aroma of brioche, flowers, nuttyness, and citrus.
  
  Palate: Fantastic and developed! Perfect acidity and great minerality. Tastes of red apples, brioche, and citrus.
  
  For the price this is absolutely amazing! Hold if you have more though, as this will only get better!!

  December 22, 2023 - Amazing stuff. Served for start of Christmas holidays. Cold, crisp and refined. it was even better after dinner (or slightly warmer). Beautifully balanced, lingering sweetness at the back. I so enjoyed this and wish it was affordable as an every day treat. Fine wine with bubbles.Better than white burgundy at this price.

  December 11, 2023 - Drank alongside the WS non vintage and the 2015 BdB, definitely the star of the three, rich but also with lovely light fruit notes.
