    May 8, 2019 - Another superlative bottle of this; rich, dark and balanced wine. Great quality for such a modest price. Makes me all the angrier with my experiences at 2005s of such modest appellation. How can ‘02s at this level be so good and yet so many 05s of “lesser vineyards” seem shot, oxidized or marred by roasted qualities of torrefaction???

    July 12, 2017 - Medium ruby color with modest clear rim; effusive nose of rich, funky red fruit and violets with a hint of menthol; really rockin!; long finish. Served blind to a small group attending a tasting of Clos de Bezes and no one suggested it wasn't GC! Think I paid something like $18 per back in the day.
