January 10, 2009 - Our experience with sherry is limited. That being said, we enjoyed this one from Bodegas Tora Albala. The nose had aromas of crème brûlée, raisins, and currants. Add'l raisins on the palate, along with brown sugar. A hint of metal on the finish. Very sweet, as expected. Excellent pairing with Mitica blue cheese (Spain).

December 19, 2007 - This stuff is as thick and viscous as pancake syrup and the sweetness level is about like that too. Nutty and caramelly, but too simple and sweet for me. No acidity to speak of.
