  July 11, 2014 - I have tasted this wine twice in the last month and was pleasantly surprised by how it is holding up. Although not particularly sophisticated, it has aged well, showing balance and still with a good deal of fruit. I wouldn't wait too long before drinking up but it still has a good year or two left in my opinion.

  July 7, 2007 - shop tasting - surprisingly good and flavorful, decently long finish... triggers memories of a port, but as a dry table wine. blend of 40%Jaen (tinta mencia) , 30% Tourica Nacional, 20% Alfrocheiro and 10% Tinta Roriz (Tempranillo). v. nice. and for $12 - a great deal.

  September 25, 2006 - P.I.G. Tasting 2006 (Northcote Manor): A blend of jaen and touriga nacional, with smaller amounts of alfrocheiro preto and tinta toriz, fermented in stainless steel and then matured for 12 months in barriques.
  This has a young, fresh fruity nose with lots of black fruit and a touch of chocolate. Lovely round palate with good fruit character. Very easy and very nice. Has great balance. Very Good+
