September 24, 2009 - Received from the Dyers as a gift. Purple in color, opque and bright. The nose has black raspberries, and black pepper. Full bodied. On the palate, this is quite smooth. Easy to gulp, with no trace of 14.7 Alc. Otoh, it lacks something exciting too. Black raspberries, slightly jammy. A very good wine but I think I am not a huge fan of RRV Syrah. 50+4+12+17+7=90

February 28, 2009 - Not the big, jammy syrah that I'm used to, but a smooth, long-lasting taste of bright fruit. A little of tobacco, blackberry, and chocolate on the taste buds. A pleasure to drink on its own.
