June 18, 2023 - Killer wine! Rich, delicious, full-bodied black raspberry fruit with earth and clover flavors, excellent structure, long finish

June 1, 2023 - The ripest and the most full bodied of the 19’s tasted but also the most impressive. Opened in the bottle for a few hours. Anise, ripe blue/black fruit, milk chocolate, toasted coconut, and damp earth/game. Surprisingly dense/thick but not syrupy (think Napa Cab).

Châteauneuf du Pape (aside from Rayas) gets undeservingly shit on by wine geeks. My thoughts are there’s a time a place for every thing. Warm weather and grilled meat.

April 29, 2023 - Decanted for 2 hours. Nose has sour cherries, raspberries, baking spices, and a caramel note. Palate is slightly sweet, has lots of berries with enough acidity and some nice fine-grained tannins. Finish is fairly long, with sour cherries and a pleasant tannic grip. Very approachable now, will continue to evolve.

January 9, 2022 - Dark cherries and kirsch mesh together perfectly here. The wine is further complicated by all the nuances of flowers, peppery herbs, earth and spicy notes. Rich, concentrated, focused and fresh, the kirsch packed finish hit everything just right. The wine is based on blending 75% old vine Grenache with 25% Syrah. Drink from 2023 - 2037

December 19, 2021 - After 2 hours decanting lots of fruits. Red and dark fruits. But in a perfect way. Very balanced with a good amount of acid. More acid as the 2016 Quartz I would say. Probably a little bit wood and herbs to support the fruit. Absolutely great and very good QPR for an C9dP. The wine developed also very good over 3 days.
