May 2, 2024 - Similar to my tasting note on 3/4. Clearly I like the wine…but still trying to peel back the layers. Very interesting and good expression of the Chardonnay grape. An enigma.

March 4, 2024 - Atypical for a White Burg. There is a lot going on in this wine. Tropical, yet mineral. Presence of oak, yet strong salinity on the finish. Slightly reductive, yet still light on its feet. The enigma that is this wine kept me coming back for more to try to solve the riddle. I don't think I ever figured it out, however.

February 7, 2023 - Something wrong with this bottle, not fair to rate. Weird in both nose and mouth. Not even close to either my earlier note or the notes of others. Don't know what is wrong with it. If I had to guess, I'd say it was very poorly stored, though nothing about the appearance of bottle or cork suggests poor storage. Disappointing.

November 19, 2022 - Popped and poured. Really like this. Quite a deep yellow. Smoky fruit in the nose. Good tension in the mouth, with excellent mineralogy and ripe fruit on the back end. Like it so much I ordered another for under $50. 4-12-16-8: 90/100. This could get even better.
