January 16, 2011 - Opened because it was showing signs of seepage. The cork was a little damp but ok; double decanted 5 hours before drinking. Glossy ruby red with a clear rim. Very straightforward fruity nose with aromas of strawberry and cherry pie. As expected the palate is tight and quite reserved with youthful spicy tannins. Well balanced with pure cherry fruit and fresh acidity, will keep the next bottle in the cellar for a few more years.
