February 23, 2024 - So....revisiting this producer for the first time in 3 years, since reviewing the 2017 vintage.
On nose: muted , shy notes of sea salt and green pear skin.
On palate: above flavour notes present, with light lemon peel, faint smoke, and a note of red apple, with a ghost of oak gall....aaand, that's it.
The 2017 was more expressive, this after a one hour decant....overpriced in Vancouver at $39.00....last year, I bought a Collett, 1er cru Vaillons 2019, for only a few dollars more....will not buy again. -

September 10, 2023 - France Trip: Paris, Champagne, Burgundy; 9/3/2023-9/17/2023 (Paris, Champagne, Burgundy): Pale green color. Drank a small glass at La Chablisienne in what turned out to be a fantastic visit. Lush fruits, peach, pear, round, very good. 90+ to 91pts.
