March 29, 1989 - Clear light red brown. Acidic and spicy bouquet with some unripe red fruits. In the taste completely ripe and dry tannin. Quite acidic. Rich in different tastes, but they seem to halt before showing themselves. (Is this proper English?) Thin, little liquorice and a short creamy aftertaste. A strange wine. Do not know what to think of it. Is definitely over the hill, but still offers interesting things to taste and is not really bad. For the interesting part I score this wine 77 at the moment, but I do not “officially” score this wine. (As you can probably understand by reading my note this tasting was blind, [like 75% of my TN’s here.])

June 21, 1987 - Tasting with my cycling group (@ My place): Clear garnet red with a brown rim. Expressive bouquet with dark berries and some licorice. On the palate firm acidity and tannin, sweet licorice, caramel, vanilla and creamy impressions. The tannin promises some future. Lovely wine.
