February 19, 2024 - My daughter’s 25th and the follow to a beautiful ‘99 Dom. No decant. Sat open a solid 45mins. Strong black licorice on nose, which blew off, or at least simmered with a little time in glass. Fruit still present and enjoyable with a classic pounded out veal parm. My last bottle and I’d say on the back nine in terms longevity.

August 12, 2023 - Based upon other's tasting notes I seemed to have lucked into trying a truly exceptional bottle of this wine at this stage in its development. The cork and fill were near perfect. Still plenty of creamy black cherry fruit and just a touch of tea that made it a bit more interesting. The color was very strong and the finish was about 30 seconds. I'm a sucker for these older Barbarescos and gave it an extra point for this particular bottle's longevity.
