  November 22, 2014 - Dark ruby color w/some edge bricking. Nose of ripe sweet fruited syrah w/light spicy overtones. Tastes of well-made syrah, medium bodied at this point, fading tannins, mild acidity, faint tar. Medium finish. Drink up sooner than later.

  June 14, 2014 - Bought at the winery on release. Cellared. Held up well. Still tastes like a young wine. Color: Dark ruby Nose: Wood & Spice. Palate: Spicy, Dark Fruits and Sweet….a little too sweet for me. Medium bodied. No tannins at this point. Not very complex, but I do like the spiciness. A good mid-week wine.

  August 22, 2012 - Ruby red color, spiced up nose of fat bacon heading into a round, mid palate of cherry/berry finishing with blueberries, plums and some cherries. Very good indeed. The best of the night that started out with an '02 Owen Roe, moved on to an '05 Efeste and finished with this: best of the bunch...

  July 11, 2010 - Beautiful, deep ruby color. Nose of berry fruit and on the palate lots of ripe berry flavors and the perfect backbone of tannin.
