April 13, 2024 - I’m having trouble getting past the funk. After a few hours the funk was less pronounced. I’m just not particularly a fan of it. The wine didn’t do anything special for me. Maybe more time in the bottle, but perhaps my palate and this wine do not align.

March 15, 2024 - Lots of funk. A big wine that benefits from air. Will improve with time but fun in the moment.

February 1, 2024 - Opened for 1 hour. Color is deep ruby. On the nose: Sour cherry funk, violets, iodine, black olives, pepper and iron. On the palate: Sour cherry, sour funk, raspberry, violets, cassis , pepper and cured meat. A little less density/weight than most of their wines but that may help for many. This is definitely a food wine. Never had a wine from this producer I didn’t love. This vintage feels a bit more European to me and less new world than usual. I want to drink the whole bottle but must share. Happy Birthday to my Big Sister today. While fabulous I would give it more time (3-5 years).

November 5, 2022 - Pnp. It's got a great nose. Funky funky with spices and dark fruit. But the palate never came around. Tannic. The potential is obvious but it needs time

October 21, 2022 - Crazy funk, like cabbage stew funk. Seaweed, soy sauce, black and red fruit, black olives, smoked meat, the whole nine yards.

Fun but also seems like a storm of flaws in a bottle. The Mr Burns of wine: VA and brett and TCA are all in a perfectly balanced ecosystem.

Glad we got to try it. Drank at Brasserie Four in Walla Walla.
