April 20, 2024 - Brilliant spice, herbal bite to this wine - truly yummy and very long on the palate.

June 2, 2023 - High alcohol at 14.5%. A touch closed, with flavors of lemon and lemon zest, with some chalk. Lemon zest into the finish.

February 10, 2023 - Jake Palace Birthday Celebration: Served blind alongside the 2019 Boillot Corton Charlemagne

This was not as ready as the Boillot was today.

Bouquet and palate pretty tight and surely a little shut. Bouquet reticent with some smoke, unriped white peaches and straw. Palate today a little too linear and one dimensional. Revisited multiple times across 3 hour, this had good acidity and weight but clearly popped 10 years too soon.

At the 3 hour mark this was not holding and already going downhill.

February 10, 2023 - Pronounced nose intensity with red apple, white flora. High acidity and long finish. Still youthful.

  • Elpaninaro Likes this wine:

    October 20, 2022 - the Domaine version

bright yellow color, rich nose of apple and pear with rounded white mineral notes, a bit of lime and creme brulee, on the palate fiesty citrus, opulent mid-palate with dashes of toasty cream, good lime-driven finish with just a bit of warmth, with time fleshes out some and develops more tropical notes, this is closing down and while it makes an attrative drink at present- several years in the cellar are needed to allow it to fully develop the depth that will make it great.
