March 13, 2024 - Cool, slim, and elegant with a finely structured profile. Despite its 14,5 % it is seamlessly integrated. Notes of flowers, almond drops, and a hint of tomato stem and tar on the nose. Flavours of cherry, leather, and tobacco complement each other gracefully. Offers a good length on the finish.

December 4, 2023 - Expressive aromas of cherries, roses, spices, and pine needles. Quite expressive with juicy acid, lots of fruit up front with tannins silky on entry and turning firmer through the midpalate, finishing with a nice mix of fruit and grip. Drinks quite well young but with plenty of structure for the future.

June 27, 2023 - Wine Workshop: Barolo (Five Way Cellars, Paddington): Perfumed; floral, rose petal, pot pourri, a little baked earth, muted cherry. Medium plus intensity acidity, talc textured tannins, alcohol warmth is noticeable here, slightly baked quality to the fruit. Hmm

May 19, 2023 - France 44 Winery Series: GD Vajra (France 44): Ridiculous nose of truffle and earth. Monstrous, layered and soft. Really resonates over and over. Grippy tannins. Clay. Delicate but also absolute huge. Tremendous mid palate volume and depth. Hot vintage.

February 16, 2023 - Young, Serravallian Barolo: This wine stood out from the rest in the tasting due to the candied, juicy red fruits. I swear if I had this (actually) blind I might have called it a white wine on the nose. The tannins would push me away from that, but it was still fresh and juicy on the palate, with richer spice notes appearing later.
