October 1, 2010 - Fronsac red, bought from Lavinia Paris. Drunk at family friday night dinner with medium fillet tenderloin with herbs. Very tempting nose, soft and sweet liquorice, vanilla and ripe blackberries. Perhaps also dark chocolate. Well balanced taste, some tannins are still there and if tasted without food dries out you mouth a bit. This wine is for medium or rare red meat. Some oak and vanilla on a nice, medium long aftertaste. This is not a super wine but perfect as a one classy part of an excellent dinner. Anticipated maturity: Now!
