February 22, 2024 - This was included in our 2015/2016 Brunello tasting.
This wine is still very young and will improve over the next 5-10 years - the potential is evident as this wine opened up over 2 hours of drinking. Red fruit - dark cherries and blackberry, cocoa, tobacco, and some distinct hints of earthiness.
High potential for this wine. -

December 18, 2022 - Castello Banfi is such a prolific producer, yet another label from their stable!
Cherries, aromatic cedar and fine tannins but acid bite still there.
I would recommend trying this again in say 5 years (where this could very likely be a 90 or 91 pointer), this has some good potential but just needs more bottle time to develop more nuances.
Thanks again to bro Mika Tyson Teau for sharing this hard to find bottle, at our big dinner in Tang Room with EC, SL, AM, Ah M, and KJs families.
Only 13,000 bottles produced and this is their inaugural vintage too.

August 24, 2021 - First single vineyard BdM from Banfi from 2016, the first year this wine was produced. Stil young of course, and will certainly improve over the next years. Already showing its potential. Lots of red and dark fruit, leather, earth and some tobacco. During dinner at La Sala dei Grappoli in Castello Banfi. Unfortunately our last evening in Tuscany. All good things end!
