April 28, 2022 - En-Primeur campaign for the 2021 vintage; 4/25/2022-4/29/2022 (Bordeaux): Plums, brambles, a little leafy underpin, savoury and peppery spice in the background. In the mouth the fruit is surprisingly concentrated and dense with an inherent ripeness that isn’t implied by the nose. Tannins are drying, slightly grainy but don’t dominate or detract from the fruit. Rather nice.
