September 2, 2023 - Yes, these wines do see oak, 15-30% new in fact. Creamy and lots of wood spice. Needs a couple years for the oak to integrate.

January 21, 2023 - Ironic name since no oak used here. Tasted alongside the rest of Gaunoux 2019; this was the most in-your-face. Immediately striking albeit not as complex as the Pommards - that’s nitpicking. Cassis and black fruits dialed up. Ultra smooth. Finish is brief but this is sexy and bold until then.
