October 22, 2022 - Agreed with the notes from others on this one. High qpr, excellent with porcini risotto, Parmesan and chicken breast

July 13, 2022 - Wow, this was incredibly fun and delicious, with serious complexity and energy for $20. I've seen that it's sometimes available for less than that; it's only a tiny step behind the Perez St. Jacques for me, but also a tiny bit less expensive, making it just as incredible a value.

Bright, slightly funky nose with powerful woodsy stems supporting dark reddish fruits, ranging from red plum to salty cranberry. The fruit darkened a bit on day two, but still mostly on the dense red spectrum. It was that high-toned gamey thing that really elevated the wine, loads of umami without ever overpowering the fruit (it's like a slightly less rich and ripe version of his Bierzo.)

Great acidity on the palate- loads of crunchy raspberry and red plums, little salty charcuterie notes, etc. The tannins are a little on the coarse side at this stage, but that's very easily remedied with some fatty food. Awesome.

March 4, 2022 - Completely agree w/Whits review. The wild berry...and bit of spice. Wow. Love this wine especially for the price. I drink a lot of red bierzo, need to drink more reds from Ribeira Sacra

October 29, 2021 - Wild berry and spice on the nose, tender with medium to high acid, dark and soulful, the palate shows umami character with hints of cherry, chocolate, saline and blackberry, long finish, deep and intriguing, good with pasta with pork tomato sauce, a swell value indeed
