March 26, 2024 - Showed a little more developed than I’d expect. I’d put that up to storage — bought from Wegmans last week, still good, but just showed a little older.
Medium ruby fading to a garnet rim. Spice, sous bois, stewed mushroom, vanilla, rose.
Baked fruit on the palate with baking spices.
Medium + acid medium - tannin, pretty resolved.
Nice wine, but lacking a little. -

January 3, 2024 - The Holidays With Wine (Home is where the cellar is): Quite austere at first but it opened up nicely over time. Definitely a “hold” for now. Elements of forest floor and cherry fruit but I might have liked it better if that order were reversed. Full bodied and rich with heavy tannins.

January 2, 2024 - Voilà un Chambolle bien sympathique, de facture classique, et bien fait: joli Nez, fruité (rouge/noir), vivant et intrigant, un vin qu’on ne se lasse pas d’humeur (notes florales de pivoine). Le bouche est typique (ce grain), hyper fine, soyeuse, easy, mûre et acidulée juste comme il faut.

August 20, 2022 - Some reduction on the nose. Comes across as rather heavy handed, with rather dark ripe fruit and notable oak influence on the finish. Lush fruit on the palate that glides over palate. Easy to drink.
