Community Tasting Notes 2

January 23, 2006 - Dinner with friends (Seattle, WA): Well this was just a lovely way to start into the reds. Pretty muted at first, the aromatics slowly unfolded to reveal those warm Tuscan notes of pine needle that I often find in Brunello. On the palate this is gorgeous, tight, reserved, a little sour cherry intermingles with bitter chocolate, cedar and a touch more pine. Lightly perfumed in the mouth. Long and poignant on the finish. This is a baby, but I love where it is headed.

November 2, 2003 - DeLille Cellars 7th annual Paulee de Woodinville (Woodinville, WA, USA): This was Todd's bottle. A pine-needle, high pitched nose. On the palate this had a sweet, pure entry with a surprising amount of fruit. As to be expected from this varietal, this is finely etched with lots of acid. The finish is long, almost searing. This is a gorgeous bottle!
