November 30, 2022 - A pretty tight vintage of this wine, which is usually good to go. Coravined some, but this clearly needs a decant or another year in the cellar.

August 15, 2022 - Bright ruby, clear at the core with clearing at the rim.

The aroma has bright red fruit, strawberry, cherry, floral lavender, tea, some spice. A bit of oak as it warms.

Flavors similar to the nose with strawberry, cherry, cranberry, plum, cedar, and iron. Light alcohol flavor creeps in as well. Medium acidity with light sweetness.

The finish is relatively short but still sits on the palate with a bit of iron for a few seconds. 14.5% abv but no heat in throat. Lightly tannic but not grippy.

Easy drinking with good flavor. On the lighter side of reds so I’d have it with food rather than drinking on its own. For the price and style, good value.

May 3, 2022 - This deep-to-opaque ruby wine is a blend 62% Grenache, 18% Syrah, 11% Mourvèdre and 9% Carignan. Vinturi-decanted and serially tasted over three hours, it fully opens after 90 minutes in carafe to reveal an aromatic profile of dark bramble fruits, ripe plums, Provençal herbs, licorice and black tea. Medium-to-full-bodied, freshly acidic, seamlessly alcoholic (14.5%), softly tannic and with medium sweet tannins, it delivers flavors mirroring the nose and stays solid on the mid-palate. Medium in length and energetic on the back end, this is a Southern Rhone that, courtesy of Kermit Lynch, performs well above its pay grade. Enjoy it over the next five years. Drink now-2027.

March 6, 2022 - More delicate than I expected. Floral/herbal nose. Tart cherry on the palate. Drinks well on its own or with food.

February 8, 2022 - Paired with a vegetarian baked Swiss chard, kale, potato, and cheese dish.
