January 21, 2024 - Still very primary, with that sweet, dark fruit leading the charge. I don't think this has settled down at all. Acid and tannins remain potent. I'm dubious that it will improve much in bottle, but there's ample stuffing to give it the opportunity. Lacks balance.

January 19, 2022 - Super ripe, almost jammy, but without being hot. Like a mouthful of blue/black/boysenberry pie. The punchy, high-toned fruit and serious acidity make it rather overbearing on its own. Definitely needs food. Tannins are quite grippy. There are some nice, wild herbal notes that pop up, but they get overwhelmed by the fruit.
