September 24, 2023 - Every time I open a S-F wine...my thoughts are... why don't I own more? Very nice Syrah here that has grown into a good place. A lot of Syrah character- olive, some meat notes, but it's refreshingly fresh-if that makes sense.

January 27, 2023 - ... after fighting with the d%@n wax capsule and saying lots of nasty words, cursing the whole country of Sweden (where Adam is from) and secretly hoping Adam hits his toe on a bed post in the morning ...

Dark youthful purple color, nose has quite a bit of VA, not very fruity, lots of mushrooms, nutmeg, moss, forest floor and tree bark. Interestingly, palate is the opposite, it is fresh, has some acidity, medium to full bodied, nice array of ripe blue fruits, slight jammy notes but not annoyingly so, and a touch of vanilla. Finishes with light tannins and very nice pure blueberry compote. This was pop n pour so the VA might blow out after some time, but I love the pure blueberry finish in this wine.

January 20, 2023 - Unsurprisingly this was a great wine! Enjoyed over a few nights and it was pleasant the whole way. Definitely on the lighter and more approachable side of Syrah which I really liked. I’d agree with S-F below and say this is in a great drinking window now with many years of good life ahead!

June 27, 2022 - This was great over two days. Surprisingly ready to drink yet still in a style I enjoy. Plenty of fruit but a lighter touch and less alcohol than many. I didn't find the oak to be overwhelming or out of balance. The whole thing was delicious from start to finish on both nights.

May 15, 2022 - Slightly uncouth to talk about your own wines, but had my 2019 Syrah tonight. Made no secret about that I thought I'd slightly over-oaked it on release. New cooper, new toast - I was finding my way - even with only 6 months on new oak, it really took to it. Went lighter on the subsequent vintages.

But tonight, 3 years later, after a decant, it was in a really nice spot. Lots of nutmeg notes, the oak almost fully integrated by now. Very elegant and mouth coating. Will last many more years, but certainly in a drinkable window from now.
