  October 10, 2023 - This finished tied for 5th in our blind tasting of 8 wines. 2nd time I have had this. 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 29% Cabernet Franc, 25% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 1% Malbec. Decanted 3 hours before drinking because it had a little funk on the nose. Medium red color. Notes of crushed grapes and smokey red fruit. 89 points.

  October 8, 2023 - We have had this wine before (vineyard and year) and we’re impressed with it. This bottle was not tasting anywhere near the others. Weak and somewhat vinegary. Our conclusion is some sort of deterioration, maybe a bad cork. This I rate it as defective

  October 6, 2023 - Cab Showdown: Michigan v West Coast (Chateau Vino Me): Double blind. Light color. A dominant green/under-ripe cabernet aroma with red berry fruit underneath. Light-bodied with flavors of tart red fruit. Medium finish. I don't mind the green elements here, and this is better with food than on its own. Easy to pick out as a MI wine.

  February 13, 2022 - This was a real disappointment - especially since we know how good Domain Berrien's reds are, and it was billed as their top wine. Hopefully we just got an off bottle. Very flat and flavorless.
