September 23, 2023 - 1st Day- Light nose, floral and cherrys. Typical Nebbiolo appearance. Good acidity, but barely anything else there to give it nuance or balance. Almost comes off sour. After decanting for 3-4 hours it wakes up a bit. Went well with a rich beef stew.

2nd Day- Definitely a bit more character after a day. More fruit, but not ripe. Dried figs, dried cherries, and chocolate.

Liked this enough, but for the price there might be other options to consider.

December 25, 2022 - The nose was a little funky at first, but has cleaned and brightened up with several (about 4) hours in the decanter. Beautiful nose of sweet red cherry, cough drops, eucalyptus, decaying pine needles and potpourri. Medium-bodied, this has a core of sweet sour cherry fruit surrounded by an unattractive dryness that will hopefully fade over time. This will never be great, but given its improvement with 4 hours of air, I'm guessing this needs a few years to unwind then will be a solid entry level Barolo, possibly meriting a higher score. Drink 2025-2030 90+?

Second night: this is still tight, tannic and sour. This needs more fruit. 89
