April 1, 2024 - Pnp on the heels of the 2017 Torrin Banshee. Dark berries, spice, meat and earth. Rich, smooth and mouthcoating. Grainy tannins and a long finish. The 2017 was more precise and better integrated.

December 23, 2023 - Decanted 3 hours prior to consumption. Okay, I love the wine and winery. Scott Hawley cannot seem to produce anything other than a superlative effort. The 2018's have loads of fruit but here there is a resistance to flaunt it, rather to craft an alluring, full-bodied wine with seamless grace.

June 9, 2023 - Slow ox for 2.5 hours at cellar temp and paired with a sous vide ribeye. Nose of iron/blood and blackberries. Flavors were not as fruit-forward as most Torrins, with beef blood mingling with layers of dark fruits. More earth than fruit, and no cherry from the Grenache. A bit of spice on the finish. Delicious, just a bit more restraint on the fruit than usual.

June 4, 2021 - Deep purple. Fragrantly beautiful nose that is ripe blackberries, bacon fat, pepper, oak, coffee, and potpourri. Full bodied, medium+ tannins, high acidity, and strong alcohol but well balanced. It’s a fruit oak bomb type of palate but very balanced and refined. 93 pts

May 14, 2021 - A different Banshee than vintages of the past. Smooth and almost silky. Has the typical many layers but not the usual Ka-pow to the mouth.
