  March 18, 2024 - Decanted 2.5 hours and drank over the next 2 hours. Nice aroma of dark cherry and floral. I agree with the long mineral taste on the end. I think it needs more time.

  March 18, 2023 - KYD #2.2 (Valby Brasserie): Lush and expressive blueberry and cherry fruit. Despite its youthful expression there is plenty of stunning fruit that almost makes it very easy to drink combined with the solid acidity.
  The long aftertaste has a nice minerality and the acidity is super fresh and virbrant. Great wine but next to the Dr. Crane it felt a little "simple" which may seem a bit harsh but it is still a stunning bottle of wine!

  August 21, 2021 - Decanted for five hours and back into the bottle for a few more. Texture wise time open managed to smooth out the grainy tannins but never really opened up the palate. Slightly green and less approachable than 18 Crane with the same treatment. Ripe dark fruit, milk chocolate, cassis, mineral, the bitter element (Cab Franc?)…. It’s heavy wine that manages to show freshness/acidity/lift (I’d like the believe this is due to the vineyard). Give this another 5-10 years until peak not Jeb’s window until 2056 (lol).

  March 17, 2021 - Coravin pour. Showed up today and my patience isn't very good. Obviously young, but this wine shows amazing promise. Nose is all TK, with black cherries, beautiful floral notes, spice box and forest floor. Super pure, fresh, taut and fine grained, this shows fabulous structure, poise and refinement. It's wound up fairly tight (especially since I didn't decant it), but the tension and layering shine. The fruit shows, but is mixed in with a lot of mineral driven flavors. The tight knit tannins and outrageous length leave an impression. This has a long life ahead of it and will only get better for a number of years in my estimation. 98+
