Community Tasting Notes 3

June 10, 2022 - Violets, pomegranate rinds, and dirt. Astringent with minerals (a hint of what I imagine ground granite in water to taste like). There’s a mouth coating quality in the middle that lasts into the finish, suggesting old vine. Not as extracted, however, as the 2020 Piron Grand Cras tasted earlier but still quite good. Awesome with fresh Copper River King Salmon.

May 7, 2022 - Good acidity and almost as astringent, fruity but I would have enjoyed better definition of the fruit. Enjoyable and on par with Lapierre’s Raisins Gaulois considering the price. Any Beaujolais that contains 12% abv is going to be a great wine because the winemakers leave the grapes to speak for themselves. Morgon vin du table is hard to beat.

    March 7, 2022 - A: Medium ruby
N: Medium (+) nose of iodine, red cherry kirsch/cough drops , blackberries, fresh thyme, purple flowers
P: Dry, medium (+) acidity, medium alcohol, medium astringent tannin, medium body, medium (+) intensity and length
Its a very good quality wine with lovely fresh fruit balanced with fine acidity, good length, intensity but lacking complexity.
    Very good quality wine
Not what I would call exciting but a good daily drinker. Drink now. I don't see much room for improvement if held to age. Fresh right not. Would like some tertiary on here already if this had much to give us on ageing.
