February 8, 2024 - It was a last-minute decision to throw some steaks on the grill and there would not be enough time to open a cab and somewhere in the back of my wine-soaked brain I always believe the merlots open quicker. So I opened this bottle when I put the steaks on the grill. Dark fruit with hints of chocolate on the nose. The palate was mixture of dark berries, a hint of cherry, plums, a little tobacco and some milk chocolate leading to a moderately long finish.

November 8, 2023 - Medium ruby in color. The wine is bone dry, full bodied, acid is high, alcohol is high, tannins are high - ripe and integrated, minerality is medium, finish is long.

Aromas, ripe cherry and plum explode from the glass. Leather and herbs sit more eloquently. Cranberries and a hint of vanilla.

On the palate, ripe cherry, cassis, earthy tobacco, dark chocolate, dark plums, vanilla, thyme, and leather. Warm baking spices and oak on a long pleasant finish.

June 3, 2023 - Seemed lacking in finish to me. A bit flat. Maybe it was just an off bottle?

October 28, 2022 - Steve and I decided to open this bottle at lunch. Dark fruit and hint of chocolate on the nose. The palate is dark fruit, plums, currants and a little leather and milk chocolate. It finishes moderate to long. A nice Merlot
