April 21, 2024 - This wasn’t a bad bottle of wine, it just wasn’t a good one. Kind of flabby and jammy in an uninspiring Napa fashion. All warm, muddled fruit with nothing particularly interested. We decanted for about an hour. I have two more bottles. I don’t see this getting any better. Maybe it’s just not that good.

January 25, 2024 - I don’t know what to say about this wine. I have about 4 cases in my cellar, as I got a screaming deal on it at release. In youth it was very fruit forward and inviting, with what felt like a good tannin structure. Now (only 5 years later) and the wine is significantly muted. I opened one and thought, ah it’s at the end of its life. 5 hours later in a Riedel sommelier stem it opened up a little, but not significantly. If this was a bordeux I would say it is through a dumb period. It’s certainly not exciting to drink at the moment, but I don’t know if the fruit will last. Luckily the tannin structure is pretty delicate, and there is some fruit. I am going to hold for year and then pop another one.

January 15, 2024 - Great nose and body on this wine. Had it opened for two days and it still tasted great the second day.
