September 4, 2012 - Decanted 45 minutes (benefited from air). Garnet color. Not much change since two years ago. Still with incredibly bright fruit, and a fine structure of acidity and linear, somewhat firm tannins. The second bottle was vigorously splash-decanted and it seemed to impart a darker fruit profile with tarry bramble notes. Really nice. Perfectly paired to the grilled chicken and sauteed vegetables, but was not nearly the match that the '95 CDPs were for red wine risotto with parmesan rind sauce (too light and primary for that).

June 23, 2012 - Awesome showing. Black fruit, licorice, tar, and flowers. Surprisingly forward. Out of magnum. What a great wine experience.

June 10, 2010 - Decanted two hours. Similar to bottle last summer. Bright light red fruit, nice acidity, fine edgy tannins. Great with CR salmon and clearly different than the Sea Smoke Southing served along side. This disappeared while a third of the SS was left.

March 12, 2010 - Beautiful nose that opens with time - earthy at first, fruit later. Good mouth, that has fine tannins. Length is a little short.

October 5, 2009 - Fine Vines Fall Grand Tasting (OneSixtyBlue, Chicago IL): nose: tart and fairly rich nose of red cherries, berries, earth tones and a whole lot of dark spice tones. Tight, but showing off some great tones already

taste: Fairly robust and bigger on the palate with high acidity and chewy tannins along with rich tones of red cherries, a lot of dark spices, and dark berry tones poke through the tannins and acidity

overall: Very young and in need of time, but there is something really good lurking underneath. The fruit has a ripeness to it, that while it won't be confused for new world fruit, that is a bit different from normal beaunes
