Community Tasting Notes 4

November 20, 2022 - storing under argon for 4 weeks standing up in my wine fridge was not a wise idea...dead

July 23, 2022 - Coravin fun - Burgundy selection, Talbot bracket and supper wine (My place, Kent Street): From Coravin. Savoury but perfumed, woody spices, brambly Autumn fruit, a slight off-note like rotten forest floor sits beneath this. Savoury, quite hard and a little foursquare, brambly fruit, chewy tannins. Hmm.

February 16, 2020 - From Coravin. Aromas of sweet spice and cocoa powder initially then muted strawberry and pepper, a touch of alcohol, slightly meaty notes with time. slightly sour strawberry fruit on the palate is rather swamped by plenty of drying, though silky, tannins. Quite simple. Meh

September 22, 2008 - Wonderful Burgundy. Nose of Crushed cherries, some violet and a hint of oak. Medium bodied wine that was just silky smooth. Nice long finish with lively acidity to suggest this will last a long while. For 32 dollars this is a really good bottle of Burgundy.
