March 25, 2024 - colour is a deep transparent ruby. nose is very pretty, slightly floral, almost sweet. palate is bright and lifted with good acidity but this isn’t prickly in the least. the entry and mid palate are silky. this is nicely balanced and really tasty with cherry, a hint of cassis and lightly herbal (which holds on the very long pleasant finish). i think the 5% cab really brings an unusual dimension to this blend.
…@$30US, i think good value here for “entry level price point” priorat. highly recommended. will buy again! 92+ -

terrific wine. Very much of the "traditional Priorat", which of course, is only about 40 years old in the modern idiom, but has roots :-)
Unfortunately i'm writing this several days after I had the wine. So the details are fading.
Decanted and open for ~30 minutes before conceptions began, then consumed over 2 hours. Had an excellent traditional Rioja for comparison.
Dark color, but not opaque.
Great, "dark" aromatic nose, with cherries, berries, adn something more like a traditional fruit (sweet?) that I cannot pinpoint. Not hot. Some rocks and earth? Not sure I recall details.
Body matched nose, with grippy tannins that somehow have that minerals/stone thing integrated. very fresh.
Integrated well over time. Interestingly the Rioja and this got closer over time, actually the Rioja moving closer to this. Both were great with food ( in this case smoked/slow gilled rack of lamb)
Think somewhere between a Northern and Sothern Rhone, with a bit more rocks, plus some minor funk.
Sufficient tannin to last a while, not sure if it needs it or how it will change. -

March 8, 2021 - Very nice cherry color - and a lot of acid at first. Then after oxygen for an hour it was bang in the middle. very nice, subtle as time went along, good nose and medium long. The acid fell down and blended nicely. Will easily last for anoter 6-8 years.
