April 27, 2024 - A bucket of dark fruit in an oaken robe. Lovely now but with development to come.

April 25, 2024 - Very enjoyable. Vanilla oak certainly dominates the nose. Plenty of fruit on the palate although nothing overly precise that I can lay out. Just enough acidity and tannin to give structure and balance. Finish comes back to the vanilla oak. Not the most complex but really enjoyable and easy to drink for me. Maybe better in a few years if the oak integrates but no need to wait if the mold strikes.

    April 16, 2024 - 24

April 9, 2024 - A very good rendition of Ardanza for sure. I felt this was pretty tightly wound from a p&p but an hour to breathe for the first glass. I get less dill and vanilla oak than most, it just must be my palate's dill sensor is low. Always has been. Quality and versatile Rioja with some good upside for sure, though I just tend to drink these sooner vs. the 904.

April 5, 2024 - I purchased and receive this less than a week ago. Young and vibrant, with baking spice, a mix of vanilla and dill pickle in the wine. I am a fan of Ardanza, and I trust this will integrate with time, but it has not integrated yet, and that American oak is clearly imparting a dill pickle flavor to it. I would love for them to use French oak, but that ain’t the way in Spain. Despite that issue, it remains a fairly enjoyable wine, 90+ with room for upside. The wife seemed to enjoy it, also a positive.
