  June 10, 2023 - Virginia Governor's Cup Winners: Deep yellow color. The aromas sport honey, pineapple, circus peanuts, over orange peels, some almond skin and hay elements. The palate shows a juicy, waxy texture balanced by racy acidity and flavors of kiwi, juicy orange, and pineapple chunks. I love the salty, chalky nuances, which balance out the juicy tropical flavors, and I get floral potpourri, some green herbs, and notes of honeycomb and dandelion. A lot going on here, and I’d like to see how this Petit Manseng ages.

  May 26, 2023 - To the nose, white peach and honeysuckle. On the palate, peach (w&y), apricot and honey. Spice (white pepper? cinnamon?) is more than expected for PM. The round, viscous mouthfeel stands out. Length is long relative to PM. A standout Virginia PM. Paired well with grilled tilapia and salmon.
