April 29, 2024 - Very nice “every day” Napa cab. Approachable, surprisingly supple, lots of red fruit and a light touch of oak vanilla/spice, tannins very soft. A very likable cab that really wears its 14.8% abv well. Went great with grilled steak on a very warm April day in NJ. At dN prices a definite hit.

March 29, 2023 - A really elegant wine with medium power and nicely balanced finesse. On the palate: Dark black cherry, garrigue, plum. Not the most complex, but perhaps complexity to be gained over time when the amount of new French oak settles down. Drinking well now.

February 18, 2023 - Similar note to 9/17/22
Powdery pink florals, soft soft cherry, also more acidity today. On a high level, agree with my prior summary: don't view this as Napa Cab, view this as predominantly single vineyard Cab.

December 8, 2022 - Double decanted back into bottle 3 hours before serving. Wine was still chilly when first poured (winter time house temp ~ 62F). Beautiful ruby color in glass. Aromatics of red fruits, mocha/coffee at first. 2nd glass showed more aromatics with some powdery fruits. Well restrained style Cabernet that was enjoyable as last glass really said the best is ahead of this wine. Nothing overdone- tannins/acidity/oak/extraction. Might not please the "Iron Fist/Velvet Glove" crowd.
