December 24, 2021 - This wine needs a little time to knit together and is showing signs of bottling shock. Grenache / Cabernet / Syrah wines sometimes struggle for balance and synthesis and I hey a bit of that here. The wine is good, but has some really unexpected aromas and flavors. The Syrah here was fairly sweet, I think, but the Cabernet came in drier and with some bell pepper aromas. Meanwhile the grenache was somewhat dilute and neutral. The overall effect is fine, a very drinkable bottle. But not particularly distinguished. I would wait six months, then drink these within two or three years.
