January 30, 2024 - Burgers and fries for dinner tonight, and this bottle paired perfectly. My prior tasting note applies.

January 15, 2024 - Dary 1: Composite cork. 60% Syrah, 24% Grenache, 12% Peite Sirah & 4% Viognier. This is the perfect wine to get a Prisoner, Caymus or Orin Swift wine drinker into something less expensive and better. Sweet cherry, black pepper, cigar, floral, black licorice and dark chocolate. Rich wine and good concentration. Very enjoyable and good crowd pleaser. 91 points
Day 2/3: Very consistent on day 2 and 3. Bramble, black pepper, sweet cherry, plum, cigar, floral and dark chocolate. Not getting the black licorice. Medium finish and satisfying wine. 91 points
Recommendation: This vintage is a solid. Avoid the 17.2 people found this helpful Comment -

December 29, 2023 - 1st of 2 bottles. No contemporaneous notes. Wine poured via my friend's Coravin. Very CA. Dark colored, aromatic, medium to full bodied, rich, dark fruits, low acidity. A very good wine, just missing that extra layer of complexity. My friend enjoyed this, and it was a good match for his beef stew. (88-89).

November 14, 2023 - A year and a half since my last bottle and this wine is developing very nicely.
It's a beautiful, inky midnight maroon in the glass and throws many legs that gradually diminish.
After 30 minutes the blue and blackberry notes have ripened and some vanilla-tinged cassis has entered the picture. The fruit notes overall are lush. Subtle yet delicious spice box notes grace the mid palate on and are accompanied by an herbal savoriness to the finish which grips gently at first then lingers secco with rosemary encircling the lovely mix of aforementioned flavors.
Stately and elegant, full bodied and powerful; I can't wait to try the next bottle in another year and a half.... who am I kidding. I'm not waiting that long.
