April 13, 2024 - A new wine for me...picked up a couple via mailing list upon release. Had for wife's 40th birthday, along with a lineup of first growths and Napa cabs. Very nice wine. Will continue to purchase.

November 20, 2023 - Tasted in a lineup along with their 2019 Las Posadas, 2019 Ecotone Merlot and 2018 Engelhard. Stayed with us as the strongest wine of the tasting, really impressive with lots of complexity and character.
Big off the bat, with lots of energetic florals and a well-woven balance of red and black fruit. Took the bottle home with us and, with some extra air-time, showed incredibly. Forest floor and minerals, but a step lighter than something like a 21 VHR or Kinsman-Eades Kodo. A nice balancing act. Sitting around the kitchen table some of us were contemplating if this was the best bottle we'd had in recent memory. 97-99.
With some more time and a second bottle, might come back to this and acquiesce to that being less than it deserves. A flat-out incredible bottling, and both the vineyard and the winery seem to only be getting stronger.2 people found this helpful Comment -

November 17, 2023 - The nose hits you square in… well, the nose… with washed ripe berries and warm red licorice. On the palate, this is teeth staining and chocolatey ripe, with mixed berries and dark spice. The 2019 is certainly wilder than 2018; a cassis note is ripe and rich, but with perfect acidity. Precision and focus are solid, even despite how rich (without being super riiiiich) and candied it starts off. Awesome structure here as well. A biggin!

October 15, 2022 - Tasted with Nigel in Napa. This wine is gorgeous and was singing from the glass. The CF element is one that makes this so approachable compared to the young 100% CS wines. This is not to be missed!
