November 5, 2023 - A bit too tight. Opened early.

September 29, 2023 - Oaky, a little soft, not really my style.

August 11, 2023 - Bedrock syrahs at Bazaar Meat (Chicago, IL): Quite a different expression of ostensibly the same wine versus the Pierre Peters. This showed a rounded, almost ready-to-drink maturity, with more open-knit fruit and generosity on the palate. Somewhat lighter and missing the acid/mineral intensity of the Peters version. In the side-by-side, this felt a little dilute even if more resolved. I preferred the intensity to the aforementioned ready-to-drinkness of this.

July 1, 2023 - Friday at the shack (Willamette Wine Storage, Portland OR): The nose shows a more forward and upfront quality to it with buttered toast, pears, red apples, quince, biscuits, yellow flowers, brioche, and some custard. The nose is nice and balanced, but it lacks depth and tension. The Medium bodied feel is balanced and fresh with tart, high acidity. This is a fun Les Chetillons, but it's a clear notch below Pierre Peters (which for better, for worse it will always be compared to).

    May 1, 2023 - not blind, Magnum
FResh, missing length, Chetillon in general overrated in my opinion, doesn't matter which house. 92
