February 21, 2014 - My bottle. Very deep nose with petrol, red-brown spices, red apple - great drive, cinnamon. Delicious on the palate - dry and sweet: apple pie, cinnamon, apple - light. Apple & spice finish. Great lift and balance. Nose - 5.5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5.5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 17.5/20.

February 21, 2014 - Rieslingfeier 2014 - BYOB Main event (Rouge Tomate, NYC): A fantastic mature Spätlese. Powerful, ripe and flamboyant with a bright floral character (Bob says hibiscus), savoury honeyed, burnished, vanilla cream and smoky notes, and a core of Mosel fruit that's still very fresh and lively with bright acid beneath. There's incredible persistence on the finish, and this is a real knockout - thanks Seth!

November 23, 2010 - Color: Deep Gold. Nose: Lots of Petrol, sweet, backed by brown-golden spices. Apple & honey. Very typical for UW - I love it. Palate: Very nice and plush on entry. Decent acidity, honey & apples w a touch of salty extract. Smooth on end/finish. Finish balances very well between the acid and honey aspects. Excellent old riesling. Nose:5/6, Palate:5/6, Finish:5/6, Je ne sais quoi (wild card):2/2 = 17/20 = 94/100
