Community Tasting Notes 2

May 24, 2023 - Medium yellow. Herbal aromas. Medium bodied, fairly glycerine. Ripe fruit and herbs, surprisingly tart, zesty finish. A big Federspiel.

May 2, 2022 - Quite ripe and sunny on the nose with yellow apple, pear, tinned pineapple and dandelion. On the palate definitely riper and more oily than your classic Federspiel yet with good acidity. Not as zingy and savory as I would prefer but especially at the table this serves its function very well. I kind of get the feeling like it has been a struggle to work with what the vintage has given here. Very drinkable and competent but nowhere near as weightless and effortless as I would expect from Alzinger.
