March 29, 2024 - I'll call this a fun wine. Light hearted fruits, tart cherry, cranberry with an olive hint on the aftertaste. Bought this a year ago and just getting around to it, I'm guessing the description left me thinking a Cali version of Bordeaux? If it were a blind, I don't think I would have guessed a California blend. Nothing complex here, just a good sipper with bright notes and medium acidity.Drinking at 65F on the PNP. We'll see what happens in the next hour...

August 20, 2023 - A nose of some dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied Bordeaux blend, with black cherry, plum, coffee and spice on finish, decent QPR. www.winelx.com

July 8, 2023 - 90 minute decant as the wine was still closed up at an hour. Served in the high 50s F. Nose of black cherry, vanilla, smoke and floral notes. Rich mouthfeel emerged with air and temperature increase. The alcohol and acidity have integrated well over the past few years. Sweet cherry fruit, cedar, black olive notes and dried tobacco on the palate. The heavy use of oak seems to have suppressed the bright fruit I expected with this wine. Pleasant wine with a short finish. Can't see this aging well, so drink soon.

February 23, 2023 - Excellent. Leathery, some cigar at the end. Very smooth finish.
