August 6, 2022 - Tasted after a 30 minute decant.
Dark ruby in colour with lovely aromas of sweet black fruit & oak.
On the palate, full bodied tart black fruit, blackberry, boysenberry, sour black cherry, well integrated oak, somewhat herbal & minty, high acidity, high soft tannins with a long finish to spice, pepper & chocolate.
This wine is balanced & lovely, at this price point, load up! -

December 28, 2021 - Straight out of the gate, this is full of expressive black fruits, the signature licquorice and floral note I always find in this wine, then a lick of sweet spice from the oak. This vintage has an extra layer of depth and deliciousness, has a real wow factor. Great now and even better with a few years in bottle I'm sure.
