  June 19, 2019 - Losing steam from the last bottle, so drink soon.
  Still had some of the meatiness, but the fruit is fading.
  
  Dried fruit, spice, earth on nose. Spice on palate, dark fruit, leather, anise.
  Lighter body, but flavorful. Quite different from the previous 2 bottles consumed.

  July 7, 2017 - This took some time to open up (1-2 hrs), and needed to be drunk cold (60F or so), as when warmer it was tannic and harsh.
  Meat, pepper, black fruit; a full bodied syrah.

  December 29, 2016 - Christmas Dinner (Novi, MI): Holiday celebration at parents. Drank blind with 3 other wines.
  Group #1, received 4 of 6 first place votes.
  Meaty, smoky, slightly vegetal, very smooth, black cruiser.
  This wine set off the night's trend/theme of syrah.

  October 9, 2016 - Cork was destroyed so I was worried but the wine was ok. Aromas of black olive, game and hints of bacon fat. Got some black olive, blackberry, iron and earth. Ends with a 20-25 second finish. These aren't as intense as in their youth but still have that heaviness that I really don't care for. Still nice nonetheless.
